Reasons your child should use Kedyou for online tutoring

As a parent, you naturally prioritize your child’s best interests, especially when investing in a tutor. In the past, online tutoring has fallen short compared to traditional in-person alternatives. The lack of interactivity and human connection in online tutoring made it less engaging and resulted in poorer outcomes. However, Kedyou is changing the game

At Kedyou, we are on a mission to make online live tuition just as good, if not better, than in-person tutoring. We’ve designed our platform to replicate the interactive and collaborative experience found in face-to-face sessions. We achieve this by combining carefully thought-out education-focused features with a lag-free real-time collaborative workspace

By leveraging the power of the internet and harnessing the convenience it offers, Kedyou enables students and tutors to interact seamlessly, just as they would in person. Students can access a vast library of online resources, while tutors have the capability to guide them effectively. This means that with Kedyou, your child can enjoy the benefits of having a computer at their fingertips without compromising on quality

I’ve previously written about the importance of online live education and the benefits of online tutoring for tutors and students. Kedyou should be the obvious choice for your child’s tutoring needs because it can provide them with a comparable, if not better, experience than traditional in-person approaches, all while maintaining convenience. If you’re still not convinced, let me explain

🤸‍♂️ Flexibility: Help when your child needs it

Your child won’t always require academic assistance on the exact day before their scheduled in-person tutoring session. Instead, they’ll encounter difficulties throughout the week and have to wait until the lesson to seek help. This delay can lead to a loss of context surrounding the problem, preventing your child from fully benefiting from the expertise of a private tutor

One of the key advantages of online tutoring with Kedyou is the flexibility it offers. Traditional in-person tutoring often requires fixed schedules and physical presence, which can be challenging to manage, especially for busy parents and students with packed schedules. Kedyou eliminates these limitations by allowing your child’s tutor to provide on-demand tutoring lessons. Your child and their tutor can organize a way to get help whenever they need it, whether it’s during the evenings, weekends, or even late at night when traditional tutoring options may not be available. Times this can be exceptionally relevant is the night before tests or exams when students can’t always wait for their next lesson

🧠 Interactivity: Education-focused design

Online live tutoring has long been criticized for its lack of interactivity and engagement, and rightly so. This was actually the driving force behind the development of Kedyou. At Kedyou, our primary objective is to create an interactive and engaging learning environment. We have meticulously designed our platform with a strong focus on education, incorporating features that promote active participation and collaboration between students and tutors

The core of our platform is a lag-free real-time collaborative workspace. Within this workspace, students and tutors can seamlessly interact with each other. It enables them to engage in shared whiteboarding, easily share documents, and collaborate on real-time editing. Tablets are not necessary to engage either, because we’ve designed Kedyou to work just as well with a keyboard and mouse. Enhancing online interactivity is our main purpose, and we’re confident that if your child uses Kedyou with their tutor, they won’t have to compromise on educational quality or engagement

📚 Study notes: Walk away with exported study notes for further reference

As a private tutor myself, I have often encountered challenges in providing my students with clear and organized notes that they can refer back to. In traditional face-to-face sessions, we would often work on problems using shared pieces of paper or notebooks. However, this approach can lead to disconnected calculations and solutions since the original problem is usually on a separate medium. When revisiting these notes, it becomes difficult to make sense of the numbers and context

With Kedyou tutors and students can import questions and solve problems together in the same collaborative space. This brings immense value to the end product as it gives the progress of the session context by aligning it with the actual problems being solved

After each tutoring session, students have the option to export the notes and materials discussed during the session. Because these materials have structure and context, they serve as valuable study notes for future reference and independent studying. Your child can conveniently review these notes, reinforcing their learning and deepening their understanding of the subject. By empowering your child to walk away with exported study notes, Kedyou enables them to take ownership of their learning journey and enhances retention of concepts covered during lessons

🌎 Accessibility: Find tutors outside of your geographical range that get along with your child

Geographical limitations are no longer a barrier with Kedyou. Our online platform allows students and tutors to collaborate regardless of location. This holds particular relevance for students residing in rural areas where qualified tutors are scarce, as they may face challenges in finding local expertise to provide them with the necessary assistance. Access to a larger pool of tutors means you can find the perfect tutor for your child, even if they are not available locally. With access to more tutors, you can select a tutor who not only possesses the necessary knowledge but also has a personality and teaching style that resonates with your child. Building a positive rapport and establishing a strong tutor-student connection is essential for effective learning, and the ability to find that is a great benefit of an online approach

⌛ Time Efficiency: Tutors fully focused on tutoring and developing better content

Using Kedyou as a primary platform for online tutoring enhances the efficiency of tutoring sessions by eliminating time-consuming factors such as commuting and scheduling conflicts. Online tutoring enables tutors to dedicate their full attention and energy to the tutoring process, as they are not burdened with logistical challenges. Tutors can use the time they would have spent on commuting to better prepare for each session, developing tailored content and materials that meet your child’s specific learning needs. With increased focus and preparation, tutors can deliver high-quality instruction, resulting in improved academic performance for your child

👊 We’re serious about this, and we care

Lastly, we care. I know everyone says that, but we genuinely do. Having experienced the limitations of access to education firsthand, coming from low SES neighbourhoods where private education was out of reach, I witnessed the stark disparities in the support my peers had during my university years. This motivated us to build the education system we wished we had—a system where students can receive help from anyone, anywhere, at any time. To make this vision a reality, we need to create the necessary tools, and that’s exactly what Kedyou aims to do

By using Kedyou, your child is directly supporting our mission for a better future where education is accessible to all. As further evidence of our commitment to this mission, I left my full-time job as a doctor to pursue this, while Oscar and Max have reduced their hours to devote themselves to this cause

If you’ve read this far, give Kedyou a chance, we won’t disappoint you. Our online workspaces for tutoring take less than 5 minutes to set up and are free forever
